The Dave Carr Classic was formed in November of 2014, when a group of David’s friends played in a hockey game, dedicated to him, to raise money for cancer.

The impromptu gathering raised over $1400.00 for the Jimmy Fund and Dana Farber Institute, in support of Cancer Awareness Month.

It was unanimously decided that the event would be held annually.

Cancer doesn’t discriminate. It effects everyone.

The Dave Carr Classic is a celebration of life. Not just David’s life, EVERYONE’S life that was cut short by cancer.
